As an investor from foreign shores, the most commonly used method for a startup is a Limited Liability Company. It is the only and best choice, and though shareholdings favor local ownership, the share of profit of the parties is negotiable under the Articles of Association of business. The minimum share capital of QAR 200,000 has to be deposited pending the Commercial Registration approval. An additional 10 per cent of the annual net profits is needed to be within the company until the reserve touches 50 per cent of the share capital. The audits are performed by auditors registered locally. Against the net profit, a Corporation Tax of 10 per cent is levied, but the benefit to an LLC is its ability to hold multiple customers and contracts, besides the application of Commercial Registration to most activities.
